Use a combination of green on your lid and a darker purple in the crease. Or just experiment with shades of purple. Both will bring out green. There are alot of cosmetic companies out there now, like revlon and almay, that have coordinated eyeshadows based on your eye color. They arent too expensive and are available at walgreens or walmart.
Browns are really good, I usually put a light (almost white) tan under my eyebrows, put a tan/gold color on my lids and put a dark brown in my crease..





Also, if you want to go for a more dramatic look, plum on your eyelids and a dark green in your crease..it looks great!
Purple shades actually bring out green eyes the best. Copper works too. I have bluish green eyes and they definitely look more green with purples and coppers/oranges or greens. They look more blue with pinks and blues.
Purple is the color opposite green on the color wheel. Purple brings out green, just as brown brings out blue and pink brings out brown.
i have green eyes too and i asked a clinique salesperson and she said probably shades of purple or copper
